Income Requirements

For 2018 claims: To be considered for Social Security Disability, your gross income (total you’re paid before taxes) can be NO MORE THAN $1,180 monthly if you are not blind (visually impaired).

For 2019 claims, gross income can be no more than $1,220 monthly if you are not blind.

Your disabling condition must be documented as severe enough to qualify. The word “severe” is really important here!
